This last spring we lost another big branch out of it and it almost took out the overhead power lines. We decided it was time for it to go. :( The city crews (we get our electricity from the city of Lake View) came out and took down the branches that were near the lines and then Todd and the girls cut down the rest. They left the trunk and the main branches because we are going to have a chainsaw artists come out and do a chainsaw sculpture with it. I will put another post up when it is done.

It's looks so wierd on your property without that tree but better to take it down this way than wait until a storm takes it down. Can't wait to see what the "chainsaw artist" does.
That's too bad. I hate when trees get damaged in storms - all those years of growing are gone in an instant. I think it will be fun to see what is created by the artist!
