Tasha's concert
Last Monday, Tasha's band concert was postponed due to the weather. Instead of trying to set a second date for another concert, they decided to have it after the vocal concert that was scheduled for last night. The vocal portion started at 7:00 and the kids did a really nice job. However, we never got to the band part of the concert. Shortly after Tasha and I arrived at the auditorium, it started to rain. Mom and Dad, Linda, and Todd and Katie all drove to the school in freezing rain. It continued to rain throughout most of the choir part. The school (with prompting from the local and county police) decided it was too dangerous to wait and sent everyone home. There was about an 1/8 of an inch of ice on everything when we came out. The kids were disappointed, as was the director, but now they can prepare for and look forward to a winter concert instead.

This is what all the windows looked like on the vehicles at the concert. Todd said it looked like we installed frosted glass in our entryway.

Tasha - sorry about your concert being cut short but after looking at the windows I think it was a good decision. Love you ~ Aunt Nene
