Youth Turkey

This last weekend we went to Dan's cabin in Oto, and the girls took a crack at turkey hunting. The youth season is a great opportunity for kids to get a turkey before they are wise to the ways of the hunters. Katie and Tasha both took turns hunting with either Dad or I, but in the end it was Katie who was the one that got lucky.  She bagged herself a 22 pound, 9 inch bearded trophy with the help of Dad.  We are so proud of her. There are grown men who haven't even been able to do that. The funniest part for Todd and I was that after she killed it, she started crying because she thought Tasha would be mad or upset cause she killed one. They fight like cats and dogs sometimes, but truly do care a lot about each other. What a great weekend and so relaxing.  We all commented on how great it was to be outside enjoying the beautiful weather and God's wonderful creation.
