Today we went fishing on Lake Sharpe with Jim, our guide from Allan's Guide Service in Chamberlain. We met up with Jim at the Resort @ 6:30 AM (Yes, I did say 6:30) and drove for 40 minutes to the boat launch. We then rode in the boat for about 10 minutes to get to the area where the walleye were biting. Tasha caught the first fish, and Katie followed shortly after. The two girls were the big fishers of the day catching most of the fish. Poor Dad only caught about 6-8 of the 50+ fish reeled in and Mom maybe caught 8-10. We were able to keep 16 (20 counting Jim's limit also). We kept those that were 13.5 to 14 inches and longer. We quit after about 4 hours because Tasha and Katie were bored and hot, and the bugs were pestering us.

Nice work! Fishing is always fun, but I agree, past 4 hours you need to move on to something else :) It looks like you are all having a lot of fun on your vacation!
Looks like everyone is having a great time! Knowing how busy your lives are, I am really happy for you that you've had this time away to reconnect as a family. This is a trip you'll talk about for years.
You must have a lot of fish! WOW! If we ever cot that many fish that would be the a lot to catch at the Black Hawk Lake!
